For band directors

Run the contest, not the chaos

Online registration, judge-on-their-phone scoring, ticketing, and live streaming - one platform for the whole event, so you can spend contest day with your students instead of the tab room.

Hosting a contest should not take a second full-time job

You already run a program. Then you decide to host an invitational and inherit a mountain of admin: registration emails, a tab room full of paper, a separate ticketing vendor, a streaming setup, and a treasurer asking if it all netted out. Marching Maestro puts the whole event in one platform so the day runs clean and the revenue stays with your program.

Scoring + adjudication

Judges score on their phones. Results post the moment the last band clears the field.

Most contests still run on clunky legacy software that takes a manual just to stand up a scoring system. We built ours to be the opposite - intuitive enough that directors set it up in minutes and judges need no training at all. Set your captions, hand each adjudicator a phone or tablet, and let the math take care of itself.

  • One-click templates for your state or circuit's standard scoring system, or build your own from scratch
  • A visual builder that looks like the real recap, so what you build is exactly what judges and directors see
  • Caption-based scoring your judges already understand, with no training and no manual
  • Recaps and totals calculate themselves, ready for retreat the second scoring closes

Ticketing + POS

Sell at the gate from phones you already own

Tap-to-pay ticketing, concessions, and merch run from the same volunteer phones - no rented card readers, no separate vendor taking a cut of your gate.

  • Tap-to-pay on phones you already own, plus online pre-sales from your event page
  • Lower fees than the big ticketing platforms, so more of the gate stays with the band
  • Tickets add to Apple or Google Wallet and scan even when the venue wifi is weak

Why directors choose Marching Maestro

Adjudication you trust

Set your own captions and judges and let scoring run itself, so your invitational posts fast, accurate results every time.

Less admin, more podium time

Registration, payments, and the day-of dashboard run themselves, so you can be on the field with your students instead of behind a laptop.

Revenue stays with your program

Lower fees than the big platforms and direct payouts mean more of every ticket and entry dollar lands in your fund.

Common director questions

Can we use our own judges and caption sheet?

Yes. You set the captions and assign your own adjudicators. Marching Maestro handles the scoring math and recaps so your panel can focus on the field.

How do visiting bands register?

From the event page the platform builds for your contest. Directors sign up, enter their details, and pay the entry fee online - you approve everything from one dashboard.

What does it cost to host?

$99 per event with every feature included, plus standard transaction fees on tickets and payments. Live streaming is an optional $149 per-stream add-on. No subscription, no per-band charge.

Do we need special equipment?

No. Scoring, ticketing, and concessions run on phones and tablets you already own. The only optional gear is a phone or tripod for streaming.
